Hon. Chief Dr. Ramson Tega Onoyake has resigned his position as Special Adviser to the Delta State Governor on Youth Development, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Onoyake formally stepped down on March 31, 2026, to pursue his ambition of representing the Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

In his resignation letter, he expressed deep appreciation to the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, for the opportunity to serve in his administration.

“I wish to express my deepest gratitude for the opportunity to serve in your administration, which has been the greatest honour of my political career. The trust you reposed in me, the access, guidance and leadership lessons I have gained under your leadership are privileges I will forever cherish,” he stated.

He further reaffirmed his loyalty to the administration, wishing the governor continued success in advancing Delta State through the MORE Agenda.

Onoyake noted that his resignation takes effect from March 31, 2026, in compliance with directives from the Presidency regarding political appointees seeking elective positions.

His move signals the start of political realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections.
