BOMBING OF TEHRAN INTENSIFIES AS WAR ENTERS DAY SIX

The bombardment of Iran’s capital, Tehran, intensified on Thursday as the ongoing conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran entered its sixth day, raising fears of further escalation across the Middle East.
Residents in Tehran reported heavier airstrikes overnight, particularly in the northern parts of the city, as Israeli forces continued what they described as a new wave of attacks targeting Iranian government facilities and strategic locations.
One resident, Mohammadreza, 36, speaking by phone from the city, described the situation as increasingly dire.
“Today is worse than yesterday. They are striking northern Tehran. We have nowhere to go. It is like a war zone,” he said as the sound of explosions could be heard in the background.
Meanwhile, Iranian authorities have vowed to retaliate following reports of a U.S. strike on an Iranian vessel far from the main battle zone. Tehran warned that it reserves the right to respond to any attack on its interests anywhere in the world.
The conflict is also beginning to affect the global economy. Although some international financial markets have shown signs of recovery after earlier declines this week, analysts say the broader economic impact is deepening.
Energy markets have been particularly affected, with disruptions cutting off access to nearly one-fifth of global supplies of oil and liquefied natural gas, raising concerns about rising energy prices and potential shortages worldwide.
The continued exchange of attacks has heightened tensions internationally, with several countries calling for restraint and renewed diplomatic efforts to prevent the conflict from spiraling into a wider regional war.
