The Delta State Chapter of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) has elected a new executive following its state congress held on July 25, 2026.

At the end of what participants described as a free, fair, and transparent electoral process, Comrade Derrick Oritsematosan Agberen was duly nominated by the congress and elected as the new Chairman of the organization in Delta State.

Reacting to the outcome, human rights activist Comrade Efe Vincent described the election as a significant milestone for the chapter. In a statement shared on social media, he said the emergence of the new leadership marks the restoration of sanity, unity, and purposeful leadership after years of internal challenges.

Efe Vincent also congratulated the newly elected chairman, wishing him wisdom, strength, and God’s guidance as he leads the organization to greater heights.
