The Delta State Special Adviser on Community Development, Dr. Toyin Orighomisan Agbolayah JP, has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, patriotism and collective responsibility as the country marks its 66th Independence Anniversary.
In a goodwill message, Agbolayah congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, and Nigerians at home and abroad, while honouring the sacrifices of Nigeria’s founding fathers and other national heroes.
He said Nigeria’s independence should remain a reminder of the need to build a peaceful, prosperous and inclusive nation, urging citizens to rise above ethnic, religious and political differences.
The Special Adviser also commended the Delta State Government’s M.O.R.E. Agenda, particularly its emphasis on grassroots development, community participation, peace and social inclusion.
Agbolayah further urged political appointees under the Office of the Special Adviser on Community Development to remain committed to grassroots mobilisation, peaceful coexistence and effective service delivery.
He expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, stressing that sustained investment in education, skills, employment, security and community development would be critical to building a better nation.
