Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting genuine farmers and private investors through infrastructure, improved power supply and other incentives.
The governor stated this during an inspection of Tatcha Farms in Okuloho, Okpe Local Government Area, and Amity Global Farms and Manroy Livestock Farms in Ohorhe 1, Uvwie.
Oborevwori said government support would focus on creating an enabling environment rather than direct funding.
He disclosed that a 33-kilovolt power project had been awarded to improve electricity supply, while road projects would enhance access to farms and markets.
The governor also promised an access road linking the Warri-Sapele Expressway to the community hosting Amity Global Farms.
He encouraged residents to embrace agriculture, saying it would boost food security, create jobs and help reduce crime.
