Anthony Joshua made a dramatic return to the ring with a stunning second-round knockout victory over Kristian Prenga at the Jeddah Superdome in Saudi Arabia.
Joshua suffered two knockdowns in a dramatic opening round after being caught by a powerful right uppercut just seconds into the fight. However, the former heavyweight champion recovered strongly in the second round, stopping Prenga with a devastating knockout.
The emotional victory marks Joshua’s first fight since his recovery from a serious car accident last December. Speaking after the bout, he dedicated the win to his late friends.
The victory also keeps Joshua on course for a highly anticipated heavyweight showdown with Tyson Fury, expected to take place in November.
