Nigerians have taken to social media with mixed reactions after videos surfaced online showing popular content creator and relationship commentator Emmanuel Obruste, known as GehGeh, at a traditional wedding ceremony in Niger State.

The viral clips show GehGeh and his bride, Mary, dressed in matching traditional attire, sparking debate among fans and followers.

The development surprised many users, as GehGeh has previously made controversial comments about marriage, often advising men to focus on building wealth instead of getting married.

As the videos continue to trend, many Nigerians have expressed disbelief, with some recalling his past statements and joking about his apparent change in position.

Responding to the criticism, GehGeh insisted that he never told anyone not to marry, challenging critics to provide any video where he explicitly discouraged marriage.

In a Facebook post, Charles Otolu Ekama, popularly known as Old Warri, questioned the authenticity of the wedding, suggesting it may be content. He referenced GehGeh’s past public activities, including his mother’s burial preparations, which were widely shared online, to support his claims.

He further argued that if the wedding were real, it would have been widely celebrated, noting the absence of prominent figures at the event.

Meanwhile, one of GehGeh’s students also reacted online, expressing mixed emotions and stating, “With God all things are possible.”
