The FIFA World Cup trophy will make its journey to the New York–New Jersey Stadium in a specially crafted Louis Vuitton trunk, extending the luxury fashion house’s long-standing collaboration with FIFA ahead of football’s biggest tournament.
The bespoke travel case has been designed to provide both protection and elegance for the iconic trophy. It features Louis Vuitton’s signature monogram canvas, reinforced with gold-plated brass corner protectors, and is highlighted by a striking gold “V” across the front, symbolising both “Victory” and “Vuitton.” The interior is lined with premium leather and includes a commemorative patch celebrating the partnership between the French fashion brand and FIFA.
The 2026 edition marks the fifth consecutive FIFA World Cup for which Louis Vuitton has designed the official trophy trunk. The fashion house previously created custom cases for the tournaments held in South Africa in 2010, Brazil in 2014, Russia in 2018, and Qatar in 2022, making the collaboration one of the most enduring partnerships between luxury fashion and international sport.
Louis Vuitton Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Pietro Beccari, said the continued partnership reflects the brand’s dedication to craftsmanship, innovation, and excellence. He noted that football has a unique ability to bring together people from different cultures and backgrounds, adding that the World Cup represents the pursuit of greatness, a value shared by both FIFA and Louis Vuitton.
The custom trunk is expected to accompany the famous trophy throughout key ceremonial events before the final, reinforcing the prestige and global appeal of the FIFA World Cup as anticipation builds for the 2026 tournament.
