Veteran Nollywood actress Bukky Wright has revealed that she stepped away from acting to focus on raising her children abroad, saying she has no regrets about the decision.
Speaking on The Morayo Show, the 59-year-old actress said she left the country without informing her fans and apologised for her long absence, explaining that motherhood became her top priority.
Wright said her children needed her support more than her acting career at the time, adding that she would make the same choice again if given the opportunity.

She also announced the return of her 2008 movie, Omotara Johnson, following repeated requests from fans for a sequel.
The actress said she kept her return to acting private until filming was completed, believing that keeping her plans quiet helped them succeed.
Bukky Wright officially returned to the screen in January 2025 with a role in Something About the Briggs, marking her comeback after several years away from the industry.
