Delta State Deputy Governor, Monday Onyeme, says the Oborevwori administration is committed to attracting investments that will drive economic growth and create jobs across the state as the delta state economic and investment summit draws to a conclusion.

His remarks come as investors from Brazil, Malaysia, and the United States, who attended the Delta State Economic and Investment Summit, inspected major investment sites, including the Kwale Special Economic Zone, the Kwale Gas Gathering Hub, Phoenix Company, Skyward Resources Group in Oleh, and Uzezi Farms in Oyede.

Leader of the Brazilian delegation, Roberto Giannetti da Fonseca, described the Kwale Special Economic Zone as a strategic project with strong potential to attract global investors. He said the group is considering investments in gas-powered electricity generation and cassava processing through a joint venture.

Fonseca also praised the state’s agricultural potential, saying Brazil is ready to partner with Nigeria in ranching, beef processing, technology transfer, and innovation to strengthen food production and improve food security.
