The Imole Campaign Council has denied claims that Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke attacked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, insisting that his comments were aimed at promoting peaceful and credible elections.
The council said Governor Adeleke only called for a free and fair electoral process, urged security agencies to remain neutral, and appealed against political violence ahead of the upcoming polls.
The response follows allegations by the Osun State All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council, which accused the governor of making reckless and seditious remarks against the president.
However, the Imole Campaign Council described the accusations as a misrepresentation of Adeleke’s comments, maintaining that the governor respects the office of the president and was simply advocating for peace, impartial security operations, and the protection of lives during the election period.
