Nigerian TikTok content creator Peller has claimed that fake U.S. dollar notes were sprayed on him during his traditional wedding to fellow content creator Jarvis.

Speaking in a viral video, Peller said while much of the Nigerian currency he received was genuine, he later discovered that some of the dollar notes were counterfeit when he attempted to exchange them.

He explained that he initially felt like a millionaire after the celebration but was disappointed upon learning that some of the foreign currencies were fake.

Peller added that he had chosen not to publicly address the issue earlier, questioning the culture of spraying money at events. He remarked, “Is it by force to spray?” while noting that he recognized several guests who gifted him genuine naira notes.
