Nigeria’s Super Falcons have been knocked out of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) after a 1–0 quarter-final defeat to Cameroon on Sunday.
The result means Nigeria have missed out on an automatic ticket to the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil, which was reserved for the WAFCON semi-finalists.
The defending champions will now have to pursue another qualification route for the World Cup.
