The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has reduced the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, at its retail outlets in Abuja and surrounding areas.
The price has been reduced from ₦1,335 to ₦1,299 per litre, representing a ₦36 decrease.
The new price is now effective at NNPCL filling stations in Lugbe, Kubwa Expressway, and Wuse Zone 3, among other locations in the Federal Capital Territory.
The adjustment comes shortly after Dangote Refinery-backed MRS filling stations lowered the price of petrol by ₦40 to ₦1,265 per litre.
The latest reduction reflects increasing competition in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector, with industry observers expecting more marketers to review their pump prices in response.
