Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo has strongly denied allegations that he owes a UK-based music promoter and disc jockey, popularly known as Baddest DJ Timmy, the sum of £4,106 in expenses allegedly incurred during a cancelled United Kingdom tour.

The controversy began after DJ Timmy publicly claimed that Dakolo failed to reimburse him for costs associated with organising the proposed tour. The promoter also alleged that he would reveal details about the singer’s private life if the outstanding amount was not settled.

Responding to the claims, Dakolo, through his legal representatives at Whitestone Solicitors and Consultancy, described the allegations as false, misleading, and defamatory. The singer’s legal team maintained that the UK tour did not go ahead because the promoter allegedly failed to fulfil essential contractual obligations, including agreed technical, logistical, and production requirements needed for the event.

According to the lawyers, Dakolo bears no financial responsibility for the expenses being claimed, insisting that the cancellation resulted from the promoter’s inability to meet the terms of the agreement.

The legal team has consequently issued a cease-and-desist letter to DJ Timmy, demanding an immediate withdrawal of the allegations, the removal of all defamatory posts from social media platforms, and a public apology.

The letter further warns that failure to comply with these demands within the stipulated period will leave the singer with no option but to pursue legal action to protect his reputation and seek appropriate remedies through the courts.

The dispute has attracted widespread attention on social media, with fans and observers closely following developments as both parties stand by their respective positions. As of the time of this report, DJ Timmy has not publicly responded to the cease-and-desist notice issued by Dakolo’s legal representatives.
